Reviving FIRST Robotics in Mongolia

"We kickstarted a program to nurture the next generation of engineers – organizing training sessions for both teachers and over 60 students aged 10-14 across three schools located in the south Gobi Desert. These schools are located close to the Oyu Tolgoi copper mine operated by Rio Tinto.

"The children’s enthusiasm was palpable and in less than 3 days, we organized a FIRST LEGO league competition – where the kids pitted their robots against one another.

The EMU Robotics group also visited four schools in the country's capital, Ulaanbaatar, to promote the FIRST program, introducing the program to another 70 students."
